Katya
Konioukhova
Katya Konioukhova is a Russian-born photographer based in Montreal. She specializes in documentary and commercial photography. Her projects often blend graphic design and photography, incorporating various techniques and analog explorations. She has over a decade of experience creating thoughtful personal portraits and documenting an array of events.
As a queer immigrant, Katya is particularly interested in representations of identity within social and cultural contexts. Nostalgia is a prominent theme in her personal work. Her frequent returns to Russia have deepened this exploration from an intercultural perspective, influenced by her adopted city, Montreal.
